I have a heart for senior citizens, people with depression, people suffering with dementia, or anxiety. I have been equipped to help people with many other kinds of issues and I am trauma informed.

I am especially drawn to help people who are struggling with grief.

  • Grieving is something that can be hidden.
  • You may tell people that you are doing fine but in fact are you stuck?
  • You may want someone to listen but do you feel like you keep saying the same thing over and over?
  • Do you think people are getting impatient with you and want you to ‘get on with it’?
  • Do you wonder if life can get better?

I want to walk alongside you, to offer support which can create healing. And space, where doing something different can create unexpected, beautiful experiences. I want to help you connect with yourself and others in an authentic and honouring way, enriching your life and relationships. I believe that I can help you move forward and grow towards health.

When we meet, we can discuss what brought you to therapy. Together, we can decide what type of therapy could be effective.

Below you can see three modalities that are my favorites to use, but I have been taught to use a host of others to treat all kinds of needs.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy is a helpful way to look at your thoughts, emotions and behaviours. During counselling I can help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better.

Narrative Therapy is a method that can help you to look objectively at your problems/issues. It can be very helpful to separate your emotions from the problem and see things from a different perspective.

Somatics provide an awareness of what your body is feeling as you deal with an issue. I am somatic informed and have introduced clients to body awareness and release of the tension that can be a close companion of stress.
